Salem-Kinser Church
About Our Church
Salem-Kinser Church began in July of 1948 with the union of the Salem Methodist Church (1891) and the Kinser Methodist Church (1898). The present building was built in 1968 and has been the spiritual family home for many people in this area.
Beginning in April of 2023, Salem-Kinser Church completed the disaffiliation process from the United Methodist Church and subsequently has become part of the newly formed Global Methodist Church.
We believe the Bible is God's word for all of us today. We encourage one another to study and learn and practice what we learn. We pray for one another and for others, giving thanks for all God is doing!
Mission
We believe the mission of the church is the conversion of the world to Jesus Christ! We encourage each other to be faithful to pray and study and to grow in grace and understanding and application of the scriptures all their lives. We want to live out our faith as great ambassadors for the Kingdom of God, so that others will want to become part of the Kingdom and be saved!
Vision
The vision of our church is to be a bright and clear light leading others to the path of salvation and faith in Jesus, bringing about His rule and reign in every heart, calling all who are willing, to escape eternal judgement and separation from God, and instead come into the assurance of eternal life through faith in the saving grace of Jesus, who died on the cross, and was raised to life, and will come again!
